The Official Inaugural Working Meeting of the EduTourism Project was successfully held on November 23 and 24, 2021 at the Hellenic Mediterranean University in Heraklion, with the participation of representatives of the partners’ consortium.
On the first day of the meeting, a representative of each partner presented their organization, and related projects they have implemented. A short presentation of the EduTourism Project followed. Then, the physical object and the deliverables per partner for the Work Packages 3-6 were presented. These concern the analysis of the current situation, the development and implementation of an educational tourism training program, the development of an on-line learning platform, the composition of a sustainability study, and the pilot implementation of the actions of the Project. Special attention was given to the responsibilities of each partner, and the implementation schedule.
On the second day, Work Packages 1 and 2 were presented, concerning the management and communication actions of EduTourism respectively. A discussion on the Financial Management of the Project followed, and questions related to Technical Issues were resolved. Finally, the schedule of the next implementation steps was jointly decided, while the meeting closed by planning the 2nd Working Meeting which will take place in April in Cyprus.
