EduTourism: 2nd Partner Meeting 14 & 15 April 2022, Larnaca – Cyprus

On 14 and 15 April 2022, the 2nd EduTourism partners meeting took place in Larnaca, the capital of Cyprus.The EduTourism programme is an Interreg Greece – Cyprus programme co-funded by the European Union (ERDF) and National Funds of Greece and Cyprus. ELMEPA participates as a scientific partner, through the Department of Business Administration and Tourism.
The purpose of the 2nd project partners’ meeting was to review the activities of the project partners so far, to discuss and evaluate the progress of the project implementation, and to identify the next actions, depending on the work packages of the project.
More specifically, the partners discussed regarding the development of the educational (tourist) routes to be used in Crete and Cyprus for the development and promotion of the natural and cultural heritage of the two intervention areas, as well as the set of educational tools and actions through which the educational outcomes of the project will be achieved. Finally, the partners discussed issues related to the participation of stakeholders (young people aged 16 – 26 years old, as well as trainers who will support the learning functions of the programme) in the different learning tools that the programme will activate.
The work of the 2nd partner meeting concluded with the finalisation of the future actions of the programme, which will include promotion and publicity actions, research support for the programme’s actions through primary research, the strategy to be followed for the education and training of the programme’s trainers, as well as the finalisation of future partner meetings in Crete and Cyprus.
